About Rolling Inn

A real peaceful place hidden in a teeming area.
That's many people's first impression on Rolling Inn.

A family that rooted here for over hundred years,

a legendary old doctor who worked in Anding,

an old house hidden here for over 60 years,

and hundred-year-old trees and flowers blooming in the yard.

They carry stories deposited when time gone by,

waiting in an alley,
like the buds getting ready to blow.

And, it’s only 5 min on foot
to the prosperous Guohua St. and Shennong St.

Walking into Rolling Inn,

is like entering a time tunnel,
it will show you,
at that time, the life of an old gentleman,

which combines Taiwanese, Japanese and western styles.

If you like old house, old stuffs, old furniture,
like the free pace in Tainan,
welcome to stay in Rolling Inn for a couple of nights,
have a cup of tea or coffee and chat with us,
and experience the fascinating slowness of Tainan.

About Next Door

The story of the doctor- Li-Shui Lin has been told.
Now we're talking about the story of our grandpa,
Li-Chin Lin, a teacher's story.
Rolling Inn2-Next Door is in the neighborhood of
the original Rolling Inn.
It's reformed by an old one-storey townhouse with a sloping roof.
This is the place where our grandpa was born.
It was originally a 2-storey house,
but got bombed during the war, only half remained.
And was recovered as a sloping roof house after the war.

He was a Chemistry teacher.
He likes to paint and carve when he has leisure.
Not only learn from the masterpieces,
but also study the background of every painting.
He uses watercolours to replace the vivid oil painting,
and it appears to have a different elegance.

This time we kept the beautiful structure of the old house,
and inspired by two of his favourite painters-
Vincent van Gogh & Claude Monet.
We brought the colours from their paintings to the house,
and hope to share the fineness with you.
